Toguard H85 review: Design
Toguard H85 trail camera has military color and H85 is of a clamshell design. The IP66 waterproof sturdy case of the trail camera protects your hunting camera from rain and dust damage. It can also work in tough environments like deserts or tropical rain forest. On the front, you can see the camera, equipped with 3 sensors, once detecting a movement, the hunting camera will be triggered instantly in 0.3s without delay so that you will never miss a shot.
Design of the Toguard H85 trail camera:
The User Manual is very well written and covers every detail about the various functions and how to operate.
Toguard H85 trail camera manual: Installing and using the app went smoothly. The user manual walks you through the process in detail. You can see thumbnail images of your photos and videos directly from the camera, but to actually watch the videos and see the photos full-screen you will need to download them to your phone.
The strap that comes with the camera is 6 feet long, so you can install it around very large diameter tree trunks.
The camera is equipped with two tripod mounting inserts – one on the bottom and one on the back. So, you have more options for how you install it. Plus, it includes an articulating mounting bracket and plate with all the necessary fasteners.
Toguard H85 trail camera setup:
Another nice feature is a mounting bracket for a permanent installation which would be useful for home security monitoring applications. We triggered on ourselves many times walking around so we are sure it would be good for monitoring trespassing and suspicious activity at least 50 to 75 feet away.

Toguard H85 Review: Camera and Availability
The Toguard H85 trail camera comes in a 20MP and supports a full HD 1296p video. It also has an adjustable shutter speed with settings of 1/15,1/20,1/30. The field of view is 130 degrees. The lens angle of the camera is pretty wide, a bit wider than Campark T80.
The minimum focus distance is about 24 inches so if you put the subject closer than that it will naturally be a little out of focus so account for that in your shoot layout all cameras have that issue you can’t get too close and be in focus.
Toguard H85 trail camera setup and test:
The Toguard H85 Trail Camera is equipped with night vision. Owing to IR flash 36pc 850nm infrared LEDs range 65FT(20m), this game camera produces detailed black and white night vision images and captures the moments of wildlife.
Toguard H85 trail camera setup and test at night:
The device comes with a built-in screen for not only the settings but also to playback the videos from the SD card. This is something that you wouldn’t get from Ring or any other outdoor camera devices. This is great if you want to skip the WiFi or Bluetooth setup process and simply want to collect some videos to watch later.
Toguard H85 has built-in WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. Once connected via WiFi it can be controlled through your smartphone using the free app, Hunting Camera Pro, which is available from Toguard for both IOS and Android devices.
Probably our favorite feature of this camera is the WiFi capability. When you have one of these cameras outside or even up in a tree, it can be very inconvenient to get to it, open it up, and either retrieve the SD memory card or watch the videos on the built-in screen. Using the small remote control that came with it you can turn on the camera’s WiFi (even from a reasonable distance), connect to it with your phone and download the recordings. Pretty sweet! Plus, all of the camera settings can be changed remotely through the phone app.
Another option is the Campark T45a trail camera, which you can buy for $75 for up to 40% sale on amazon, and offers similar specs
Toguard H85 Review: Battery And SD Card
To get the Toguard H85 trail camera to work you are going to need to have an SD card and 8x AA batteries. Let me first say that if you want your camera to last do not rely on alkaline batteries. They WILL eventually leak and ruin your camera. Spend a little money on a 6v rechargeable setup if this is something you expect to use frequently or at least get some quality rechargeable AA batteries.
Toguard H85 review: User reviews
We had been observing a new family of foxes and went looking for their den. My old trail camera no longer worked so I decided on this one and very happy I did. The first night with it helped confirm the den with great night vision. I did not even have the video set at its best resolution. Very happy with the purchase. Setup was easy (did not need the manual). The Wifi and Bluetooth worked great, though limited distance.Customer reviews
The Toguard H85 trail camera has amazing quality photos, but we are actually blown away by the night vision video quality and the WiFi function. The photo quality is excellent during the day and night with this camera, but with the WiFi function, this camera is on another level. Whether you are using this camera to look at wildlife or as a security device, you will not be disappointed.
