Toguard H40-1 Review
SALE 35%Toguard H40 is our second or third Toguard. We are very impressed with this particular brand. We have been amazed at what it can be made to do. We have one that is over twice the cost as this TOGUARD unit. And comparing them side by side, the Toguard is equal to the more price unit. The image seems a bit crisper and sharper, with nicer clarity. In today’s review, we will give detailed reviews of the superior features of this trail camera
Toguard H40 Review: Design
The color of the Toguard H40 trail camera is also really cool looking. It is a dark green camouflage color and it blends in really well with the woods so we don’t think you should have an issue with someone noticing it. With IP56 waterproof (dust-proof, drop-proof, and rain-proof), this protective case can protect your trail camera from rain and dust damage even in tough environments
Design of the toguard H40-1 trail camera:
The camera case seems to be very sturdy plastic with two cam-over styles “luggage” catches to hold it shut, a strap through two brackets on the back, and a gimballed mounting plate at the bottom. The bottom has a standard 1/4×20 brass threaded insert so it can you mounted on a tripod if desired. The back of the camera housing is made in such a way that creates enough friction that it likely won’t slide down.
Toguard h40-1 trail camera setup:
Another nice feature is a mounting bracket for a permanent installation which would be useful for home security monitoring applications. We triggered on ourselves many times walking around so we are sure it would be good for monitoring trespassing and suspicious activity at least 50 to 75 feet away.
Toguard H40 Review: Camera And Availability
Toguard H40 trail camera comes in a 16MP and supports a full HD 1080p video. It also has an adjustable shutter speed with settings of 1/15,1/20,1/30. The game camera is equipped with a 120° detecting range, which allows you to get an excellent broader view.
Daytime sensitivity to movement is typically about 75 feet. The daytime color images are of good quality. The range of the camera seems to be a little farther at night. The Toguard H80 Trail Camera is equipped with night vision. 42PCS low glow infrared LEDs( which makes it a stealthy unit that does not intrude into the natural habitat), make up to 75ft/22M detection capturing range even at night.
Toguard H40 setup at day and night:
The device comes with a built-in screen for not only the settings but also to playback the videos from the SD card. This is something that you wouldn’t get from Ring or any other outdoor camera devices. This is great if you want to skip the WiFi or Bluetooth setup process and simply want to collect some videos to watch later.
For security, you can set a password on the camera so, if it gets stolen, it won’t be as useful to the thief. Keep in mind, it only records to the memory card so you won’t have photo evidence of the thief unless you manage to get the camera back.
Another option is the Toguard H20 Mini, which you can buy for $30 for up to 40% sale on amazon, and offers similar specs
Toguard H40 Review: Battery And SD Card
To get the Campark T80 trail camera to work you are going to need to have an SD card and 8x AA batteries. Let us first say that if you want your camera to last do not rely on alkaline batteries. They will eventually leak and ruin your camera. Spend a little money on a 6v rechargeable setup if this is something you expect to use frequently or at least get some quality rechargeable AA batteries.
Toguard H40 user manual:
I love this camera. It is packed with features usually found only on game cams costing upwards of $80, $90 or more. It is so easy to set up and/or change the settings. The screen is bright, clear and can be seen in the day or night. The mounting strap is very sturdy and long enough to go around almost any tree. The hard mount is especially nice. It is similar to a Ram mount and even comes with mounting screws and hardware. The pics that I included with this review (some of which are of my two killer pugs, Elvis and Priscilla) are very clear and the video is quick to react. The feel of the case is NOT “cheap feeling” and the waterproof seal is placed well into the case with no movement of loose areas. I would recommend this camera over most brands found in stores and will most likely buy more of these in the future.

Conclusion
Toguard H40 trail camera is a simple and high-quality game camera. You can easily navigate through the menus and get set up in no time. I never really thought about having a game camera. But it is completely worth the money. It is a good, peace of mind for a security camera. Our only complaint is that it does not support SD cards over 32GB though it is reasonable because the operator would need to swap out the batteries before that much space could be consumed. All in all, we are happy with the Toguard H40 trail camera, particularly in light of the features for the price paid. We would highly recommend it to anyone
