Nexigo Webcam ReviewSALE 20%
COVID-19 crisis, webcams are in short supply and prices are ridiculously inflated. We tried this Nexigo Webcam and, so far, we are impressed. The quality, functions, and performance seem good. The NexiGo 1080P webcam easily beats all the cheap, generic Chinese ones (there are hundreds of them on Amazon, and they are all essentially the same) in every way. Here’s why.
Nexigo Webcam Review: Value
Nexigo webcam driver: easy to setup and use. It works with USB 2.0, no additional drivers are required. Ready to use in less than 1 min with any compatible device. The convenient foldable design allows you to easily take it anywhere, and the 6.5 Inch (2 Meter) USB cord is long enough for any task.
Widely compatible, the Nexigo 1080P webcam can be used with any laptops, LCD monitors, desktops, or tripods. Compatible with WinXP/Vista/Win7/Win8/Win10 and other operating systems and supports the major live broadcast platform.
Nexigo webcam installation:
Especially, The Nexigo webcam driver comes with a privacy protection cover, which is very user-friendly (pic 1). However, the instruction about how to apply the cover is not so detailed (pic 2). Our experience is you have to remove the clear cover on the camera first (pic 3), then apply the privacy cover. Well, here is the tricky part. If you apply like pic 4 (slide to the right to open), you will block the mic. You have to apply like pic. 5, and make sure the cover centerline is a little bit higher than the mic position to have the camera in the center of the cover frame.
Nexigo Webcam Review: Performance
FOV: 65 degrees | Resolution: 1080p | Framerate: 30fps
Nexigo webcam software resolution up to 1080p support at 30fps. Nexigo webcam has real auto-focus and is not a pinhole type fixed focus unit like so many others are. For this reason, it will focus well even when you are very close to the camera and its SHARP. However, if the light is low or the subject is not centered in the view, it can focus on the background instead (annoying). Beyond about 3 feet subject distance this makes little difference as the depth of field is so deep everything is in focus anyway.
Nexigo webcam review:
The microphone makes crystal clear recordings, but its audio capture is a little weak. This may force the listener to increase the volume on the speakers which, in turn, may introduce some distortion. On the other hand, the microphones on most webcams are a little weak until you get up into a price range 3 or 4 times what this costs. If we can’t adjust, we’ll just hook up a separate microphone
If you intend to use a webcam for streaming, you might want a webcam with a high-quality image. With the currently reduced price, a webcam is a good choice. But if you’re prepared to spend more, the NexiGo 60FPS Webcam offers the same specs as the Nexigo 30FPS webcam and more.
Nexigo Webcam was tested by the customer:
I bought this because I have to do video conferencing and I’m not satisfied with the built-in camera on my laptop. This webcam has all the functions that a Logitech one has(out of stock everywhere or very pricy now), and it’s affordable. I’ve used it for a week or so and it’s been great.Customer Reviews
The Nexigo Webcam is a great product: great sound quality, clear video quality, simple install, privacy gate, quick delivery. It has all the functions of a name brand camera and more. The lack of video compression wasn’t a big deal for us. All in all, we are happy with the webcam, particularly in light of features for the price paid. We would highly recommend it to anyone
