This is the second Campark T85 camera that we have, and this is the only brand that actually works. We have tried 6 other cameras before and they all failed. Our Bushnell kept resetting the time all the time. So then we bought Campark and all our dreams come true. We know it sounds crazy, but this camera actually works! It does everything it is supposed to, battery life is awesome. So we decided to share our views on what we like and don’t like about the Campark T85 in this full review.
Campark T85 Review: Design
The color of the Campark T85 trail camera is also really cool looking. It is a dark green camouflage color and it blends in really well with the woods so we don’t think you should have an issue with someone noticing it.
While We have not had this camera long, we feel that it will last quite a while even in adverse conditions. Campark T85 is IP66 rated so it can easily stay dry during very hard rain/wind. The case is constructed of some very thick and sturdy plastic with quality latches to keep it closed. It even has a place to put a normal-sized padlock on to make it harder for somebody to open it up.
Design of the Campark T85 trail camera :
We like the build of the camera, although we wish Campark T85 came with an SD card. The clasps are pretty great and include a rubber gasket around the camera. You can really tell it seals nicely when it’s shut. The interior of the camera also has a door over the batteries which is nice to keep the water and mud out, and the SD card is on the bottom of the camera (but inside) so it doesn’t pull in water either.
We think our favorite part is that it comes with a strap to allow you to wrap it around a tree or pole. Having 2 different threaded camera mounts really makes it easy to mount and get the shot you need. You can also use standard action camera accessories and tripods that are compatible with standard screw mounts.
Campark T85 trail camera manual:
Another nice feature is a mounting bracket for a permanent installation which would be useful for home security monitoring applications. We triggered on ourselves many times walking around so we are sure it would be good for monitoring trespassing and suspicious activity at least 50 to 75 feet away.
Campark T85 trail camera setup and test:
Campark T85 Review: Camera And Availability
The Campark T85 trail comes in a 20MP and supports a full HD 1296p video. It also has an adjustable shutter speed with settings of 1/15,1/20,1/30. The field of view is 120 degrees.
The motion sensor does a pretty good job at catching fast-moving animals but we wish it was a little faster and more sensitive on the highest setting. The camera captures good clear images and video on sunny days but the sensor struggles in lower light.
Campark T85 trail camera setup at day:
The Campark T85 Trail Camera is equipped with night vision. With a fully automatic IR filter, this hunting camera capture shots of animals’ natural behaviors by using infrared flash illumination technology equipped with 36pcs LEDs. Trigger distance up to 20m.
If you like the Campark T85, but you don’t need the no-glow flash, you can buy the Campark T80 and save some money
Campark T85 trail camera setup at night:
The device comes with a built-in 2.3-inch color TFT LCD screen for not only the settings but also to playback the videos from the SD card. This is something that you wouldn’t get from Ring or any other outdoor camera devices. This is great if you want to skip the WiFi or Bluetooth setup process and simply want to collect some videos to watch later.
Campark T85 camera has built-in WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. Once connected via WiFi it can be controlled through your smartphone using the free app, Hunting Camera Pro, which is available from Campark for both IOS and Android devices.
Wi-Fi access with the phone from about 20-30 yards away. While hunting in an area by the camera, you can access the photos/videos with an app on your phone through wifi and get a good idea of past activity. Can download those to your phone! Also, can change the mode & options from wifi like photos to video or changing photo size, etc
Another option is the Campark T45 trail camera, which you can buy for $75 for up to 40% sale on amazon, and offers similar specs
Campark T85 Review: Battery And SD Card
To get the Campark T85 trail camera to work you are going to need to have an SD card and 8x AA batteries. Let us first say that if you want your camera to last do not rely on alkaline batteries. They will eventually leak and ruin your camera. Spend a little money on a 6v rechargeable setup if this is something you expect to use frequently or at least get some quality rechargeable AA batteries.
Another plus to Campark T85 camera is the inside where you swap out the batteries has a small piece of string that helps you with getting the battery door off. We know this isn’t a big feature or selling point for this trail cam but it’s the little things like this that really give you enjoy and makes the ease of use a good experience.
Campark T85 reiew: User reviews
This camera does it all. A decent upgrade from the other campark trail cameras with the wifi and bluetooth which is super convenient. I have only used it in my backyard around the pool catching cats, but its nice not to have to go out there and i can do it from my living room. Still considering the benefits in the field, but i think it will be nice there too because i usually lock my trail cameras so i wont have to unlock it then open the cover to retreive the card reader. Still testing out the distance, but so far so good. bluetooth is decent but wifi connectivity slightly better.Customer reviews
The Campark T85 trail camera is a good choice and it works great. It is in your budget range. It comes with a USB cable and mounting accessories. The camera is sturdy, weatherproof, and well designed for perfect camouflage in wild. Easy to insert the memory card and eight alkaline batteries. Captures good quality images, videos, and sounds. It gets connected with the app very easily. This is a high-quality product and we would highly recommend it to anyone.
